A high strength concrete has high heat of hydration and poor workability before setting resulted from significant slump loss due to a large amount of cement content and low water cement ratio.
The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanical properties of mortar using ground granulated blast-furnace(GGBF) slag produced the Kwang-Yang Iron Works.
In this study, the mortar replaced by varying fineness and content of GGBF slag is investigated through the change of compressive strength, chemical resistance and weight loss.
As the result, it has been found that GGBF slag increases somewhat higher flow value and compressive strength. In addition, the chemical resistance of mortar using GGBF slag shows higher than that of mortar not containing GGBF slag.
