      損窩 崔錫恒의 贐行詩에 대한 일고찰 = A Study on Farewell Poem by Sonwa Choi Seok-hang

      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This study focused on Farewell Poem(贐行詩) by Choi Seok-hang to examine the type of poem format Choi Seok-hang preferred and look into key figures who interacted with Choi Seok-hang during that time. Then, this study explored the techniques Choi Seok-hang used in Farewell Poem(贐行詩) to figure out his habits and patterns in poetical composition.
      First, Choi Seok-hang preferred a poem format with Chironnyulshi, and he mainly interacted with figures who were members of Soron Party(少論) at that time. Considering that Choi Seok-hang did not leave much of Farewell Poem(贐行詩), it is assumed that the recipients of Farewell Poem(贐行詩) in 『Sonwayugo(損窩遺稿)』 had a close relationship with Choi Seok-hang.
      Secondly, this study analyzed the format of Farewell Poem(贐行詩) and took a closer look into the sentence writing and composition techniques that Choi Seok-hang used to deliver the feelings of farewell effectively. According to analysis results, Choi Seok-hang often suggested the places and situations that recipients may face in the future, instead of describing the farewell situations. In addition, Choi Seok-hang said farewell to different figures but showed a habit of composing the poems with similar phrases, images, and words for the similar farewell situation.
      In composition of Farewell Poem(贐行詩), Choi Seok-hang actively adopted a standardized format of Chironnyulshi to maximize the beauty of expression with matching phrases and sentence writing techniques, rather than utilizing various formats and attempting new poems. Choi Seok-hang also selectively used the words and phrases that best matches the farewell situation, rather than finding new words and phrases. The Farewell Poem(贐行詩) by Choi Seok-hang mostly expresses the restrained emotions and lingering feelings of the poetic self, instead of revealing the feelings of farewell. Such a tendency is closely related to his preference for the Chironnyulshi poem format and his habit and pattern of poetical composition.
