한국과 미국 대학상담센터의 주요 업무와 기능 = Functions of University and College Counseling Centers in Korea and the United States

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the functions of university and college counseling centers in Korea by surveying primary duties and comparing them with those of Harvard and Stanford University in the United States. The primary duties of the counseling centers in Korea were providing psychological services such as individual and group counseling, and psychological testing. Other services included seminars, culture fair, surveys, and publications of booklets for supporting campus life. The counseling centers in the States supported mental health of the members through individual and group counseling, diagnostic tests for medication, and systematic collaboration with diverse organizations. The similarities and differences of the counseling centers in Korea and the States were discussed with the suggestion for future directions of the Korean counseling centers.
