학교운동부 문화에 내재된 권련구조 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그동안 부정적적으로 인식되어온 학원스포츠의 현실을 학원운동부 문화에 내재된 권력구조 분석을 통해 보다 심층적으로 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 학원운동부 문화에 내재된 권력구조의 분석은 그동안 정부 및 체육학계 차원에서 크게 주목받지 못했던 학원스포츠의 핵심 주체인 지도자, 학생선수 그리고 학부모 3자 간에 형성되는 권력구조 문화를 사회·문화적인 관점에서 보다 심층적으로 탐색하고자 하였다. 특히 본 연구는 사회문화적, 정치학적 측면의 이론 적용을 통해 학교운동부 문화에 내재된 권력 구조를 분석하고자 학원스포츠의 핵심 주체인 지도자, 학생선수 그리고 학부모 간의 권력구조에 대한 경험적 분석을 그 핵심 범위로 설정하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구자는 국내 인기 프로스포츠 종목 중 야구, 농구 종목을 대상으로 설정하고, 이 2종목에서의 고등학교 및 대학교 운동부들의 지도자, 학생선수 그리고 학부모 간에 형성되는 권력구조의 작동방식에 초점을 맞추고자 하였다. 이러한 시도는 그동안 지도자 및 학생선수들의 문화에 내재한 현실에 초점을 맞춘 것을 탈피하여 학교운동부 문화를 형성하는 주체로서 학부모까지 편입시켜 다양한 학교운동부 문화 속에 내재한 권력 구조를 탐색을 통해 국내 학원스포츠계에서 양산되고 있는 부조리들의 일부를 근절하는데 기여할 수 있는 실증적 근거 자료를 제공하는데 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

This study explored an underlying power structure in the culture of school sport in which the reality of school sport has been recognized as a negative aspect for a long time. Indeed, the study the structure of power developed in the relationship between coaches, student-athletes and their parents in terms of a socio-cultural perspective for an analysis of the underlying power structure in the culture of school sport. More specifically, the study paid attention to an empirical analysis of power relations between them in order to explore the power structure being inherent in the culture of school sport by using power theory from a socio-cultural and political perspective. the research focused on specific sports such as baseball and basketball which are the most popular professional sport in Korea. This attempt would be a worthwhile work for proving an empirical information that can eventually contribute to tackling social absurdities in sport school system.
