경제적 박탈이 아동의 학업성취도에영향을 미치는 과정분석 = Process Analysis of Economic Deprivation Influences onAcademic Attainment of Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

◈본 연구의 목적은 경제적 박탈이 아동의 학업성취도에 미치는 과정을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 한국노동패널1-6차년도 자료 425사례가 활용되었으며, 구체적 분석방법은 구조방정식모형이 사용되었다. 분석결과, 경제적 박탈은 아동의 학업성취도에 사교육, 경제적 어려움 정도, 부모의 생활만족도, 교육 및 진학관련 대화 등 여러 과정변수를 통해 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 발견은 경제적 박탈을 경험하고 있는 가족의 아동에 대한 사회적 지원이 학업성취도를 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 특히, 이러한 사회적 지원이 빈곤의 영향을 매개하는 요인들에 집중될 필요가 있음을 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose of this research is to analyze process that economic deprivation influences on academic attainment of child. Data come from Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS), 1998-2003 administered by the Korean Labor Institute. Analysis method is Structural Equation Modeling. Result show that economic deprivation influences through process variable such as private education, economic hardship, life satisfaction of parent, educational dialogue. Finding from this study suggest that societal support for poor families contributes to improving academic attainment of child. Specially, such societal support need to be centered to factors that mediate factor of economic deprivation.
