The Purpose of this thesis is to review Debt Porblem of developing countries since 1982 Debt Crisis.
In Chapter II, the background of Debt Crisis of developing countries was reviewed. In Canter III, the present status of debt was reviewed. In chapter IV, its solution of a Debt Problem was disscussed. This study can be summarized as follows.
1. The creditor and debtor countries hold the same view that the recent Debt Problem is structural and long-term solvency problem not a short term and one time liquidity shortage problem. So they hold the same view as an approach for its solution.
2. Debtor countries have to enhance debt service capacity through a structural adjustment continuation and an improvment of export environment.
3. Debtor countries have to try reschedule debt continuously. Also IMF have to recommend debt-swap between International Commercial Bank and debtor countries
4. New credit policies of IMF and IBRD have to be supplemented. Also a Short-term external balance policy of IMF has to be accorded with a long-term growth policy of IBRD
5. Debtor countries have to induce Foreign Direct Inverstment, which have a non-liabilities character, in stead of loan.
