부산북스타트운동의 전개양상과 발전 방안 : 국내외 도서관운동과 독서운동의 지평과 관련하여 from the Perspectives of the Library Movement and Reading Campaign in and out of Korea = The Trend and Development Plan of Busan Book Start(BBS)

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the ways to activate library culture in Busan. For this purpose, this study browsed the 'library movement' and the 'reading campaign' in and out of Korea. Concretely, this study examined the small libraries movement organized by local habitants in Korea for the part of library movement, and also examined the reading campaign such as 'Bookstart' and 'One Book One City' in and out of Korea for the part of reading campaign. And this study analysed the strength and weakness of 'Busan Book Start(BBS)' officially organized by Busan metropolitan city office of education. With above research results, this study suggested the policies or ways to activate library culture in Busan; First, every efforts should be made to establish public libraries and small libraries within people's walking area in local communities. Second, it is needed to establish an independent non-profit organization for sustained reading campaign in local community, and local government should sponsor the organization. Third, the library movement and reading campaign need to make use of some strategies those are appropriate for digital age. Finally, libraries and librarians need to play more active role and lead the library movement and reading campaign in Korea.
