해외명품의 병행수입에 따른 문제점 분석 및 대응방안에 관한 고찰 = The Problems and Solutions on the Parallel Importation of Foreign Luxury Goods

After 1996, liberakation of the import trend has caused intellectual property rights problems that were concerned about the increasing consumption of luxury goods from foreign countries and caused parallel imports both inside and outside of the country. Korean Customs Service has allowed the importation of parallel import goods because there are no unified standards. The increasing rate of consumption of foreign luxury gods is showing by a number of two digit every year due to distribution channels which have diversified as well as major firms have run into parallel imports, so this market is expanding at high rate. A parallel import problem is caused by the following factor; distribution of goods. If parallel imports are activated effectively, the price gap between the cost of products can be solved This study suggests that there should be some changes like revision of law relating to parallel imports, simplification of import customs proceedings, and re-arrangements of regulation.
