대학생 자원봉사활동의 발전방향 : 대학 동아리활동을 중심으로 Focus on the university club activity = Development directions of voluntarism of university students

Voluntarism as an ethics standard for the human race in the 21st Century, suggest to us practical and realistic measures as well as an ideological framework which can solve the problems in the global village. Volunteer activities in the society by university and university students are very important within the nation, provincial communities as well as in the international arena.
This study focuses on club activities of university students of all the local universities on Jeju Island after looking into the present situation of voluntarism and issues and seeks to search into the policy issues that university students voluntary activities should be directed towards. Most of the universities have not only the clubs carrying out voluntary activities but is carrying out voluntary activities in the form of associations between individuals, clubs, departments, each colleges, and the student council.
For the active execution of university students voluntary activities, it is necessary to establish partnerships between local communities and universities, policy support from the university authorities, program development and expansion of the boundaries of volunteer activities, and connections between university clubs.
