한 부모 가정 외동 자녀에 대한 내러티브 탐구 = A Narrative Inquiry of One Child with a Single-Parent

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 성경에 언급된 한 부모 가정의 어려움과 하나님의 돌봄에 대한 묘사를 기반으로, 현대 한 부모 가정의 증가와 이에 따른 돌봄의 필요성에 주목하는 것이다. 최근 이혼율의 증가와 저출산의 이유로 한 부모와 외동으로 구성된 가구가 늘어나고 있다. 교회 내에서도 한 부모 가정이 증가하고 있어 이에 대한 관심과 교회 돌봄을 위한 지원방안에 대해 구체적 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 이 연구는 한 부모 가정에서 외동으로 성장한 청년들을 대상으로 Mandelbaum의 내러티브 연구방법을 활용하여 개인적 경험과 의미에 대해 분석을 시도하였다. 연구 결과로 삶의 영역에서 부모, 가난, 편견에 대해 다루었고, 특히 부의 부재가 이들의 삶에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지 주목하였다. 전환점으로는 부모자녀간 갈등 증폭과 모와의 관계에서 '부모화' 혹은 '유모화'로 인한 심리적 어려움을 다루었다. 또한 적응의 차원에서는 참여자 간 독립과 갈등 해결에서 차이를 보이는 것과 자원 탐색에 관해 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 본 고는 한 부모 가정의 외동 자녀에 대한 상담이 조기에 개입될 필요성에 대해 논의하고, 좋은 어른에 대한 대리적 경험, 참 아버지되신 하나님 경험을 통한 신앙적 지원, 공동체의 역할 강화, 현실적인 제도적 차원의 지원을 통해 한 부모 가정에 대한 교회 돌봄을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to focus on the increase in modern single parent families and the resulting need for care, based on the description of the difficulties of single parent families and God's care mentioned in the Bible. The recent increase in divorce and low-birth rates in South Korea contributes to the rise of single parent families with one child, even in churches. Using Mandelbaum's narrative research method, this study analyzes personal experiences of two participants who are one child with a single parent. In ‘dimensions’, the research explores the areas of parents, poverty, and prejudice, paying special attention to how the absence of a father influences their lives. In ‘turnings’, it coveres parent-child conflict and psychological difficulties of parentification and infantilisation. In ‘adaptations’, it analyses differences between two participants in independence, conflict resolution and seeking help-resources. Based on the result, this study discusses the need for early intervention in counseling for one child in single parent families and suggests several practices of church care for one child with single parents: providing spiritual support in meeting God the True Father, creating vicarious experiences with a good adult, strengthening the role of the community, and arranging education for single parent families and practical institutional helps.
