정보통신기술(ICT)활용교육에 관한 미국 교사양성 프로그램(PT3) 적용결과 분석 및 시사점 = Analysis and Implication of Teacher Education Program for Supporting to Use Information Communication Technology in Instruction -Case of Preparing Tomorrow`s Teachers to Use Technology(PT3) Program in USA-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to introduce `Preparing Tomorrow`s Teachers to Use Technology(PT3)` in USA and to find the implication of this project for pre-service teacher education program in Korea. The main method was literature review: 1) conference proceedings and journal articles, 2) published books, and 3) 1) PT3 project reports from PT3 web site and CD. The results show that there are a number of differences between PT3`s implementation procedures and Korea`s related situation. PT3 employs teacher education validation system to encourage improving curriculum for information communication technology education, supports individual institutes, provides budget systematically for 7 years, and emphasizes improving professor`s teaching strategies using technology. Especially, supporting individual institutes rather massive government driven way and focusing on professor`s teaching quality were two major differences between PT3 in USA and ICT education for pre-service teachers in Korea. It is not reasonable view to see that the different approaches of PT3 in USA are fundamentally better ways to adopt for pre-service teacher education in Korea. However, those results provide implications to know the possible causes for the implementation problems with great deal of researches for pre-service teacher education. They also give alternative directions for future related policy.
