생태시민성 관점에서 본 에코맘과 교육적 함의 = Ecomoms in the View of Ecological Citizenship and Educational Implications

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In other to fundamentally overcome environmental problems, it is necessary to engage in environmental-friendly behavior spurred on by internal motivation rather than external restrictions. Such internal motivation is possible, as seen in the concept of ecological citizenship. Ecological citizenship is defined as citizenship characterized by ecological thinking. That includes non-territoriality, non-contractual duty and responsibility, the virtues of justice and sympathy, and the practices of the private realm. The purpose of this study was to apply and examine the concept of ecological citizenship to EcoMoms which refer to those who manifest the values of deep-ecology, inherent in their self-identity as housewives, moms and citizens, by engaging in environmental-friendly behaviors. The results of the study show that EcoMoms sufficiently met the requirements for ecological citizenship and had unique properties which can be defined as Ecological citizenship of EcoMoms. Upon such a basis, this research attempted to explore the implications of its results and make suggestions for educational research and practice.
