보건사회학 연구의 동향과 전망 = The Trend and Prospect of the Researches of Health Sociology in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

While medical sociology has developed on the basis of sociological theory inWestern countries, it has been developed as the sociology in medicine in Korea.
This paper aims at reviewing the articles published by Health and Social Science,and identifying the characteristics and the trends of those articles. In the area ofsocial epidemiology, articles usually dealt with job stress, elderly health, andmental health, but not with the topics physical health or patient groups. In termsof health behavior, it was found that health habits and health care utilizationswere the popular topics. But the topics were usually limited to a few subjectssuch as smoking, drinking, and health inequalities. The articles focusing ondoctors and patients were very few. In terms of the institution and policy, themost popular topic was health insurance. However, social relations immanent inhealth insurance policies were not discussed. In the future, research topics shouldbe diversified and theory-oriented research are needed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

서구의 보건사회학이 사회학 이론에 기초하여 발전했던 것과는 달리 한국의 보건사회학은 보건의료분야에 응용된 학문분야로 발전해왔다. 이 글은 학술지 ‘보건과 사회과학’에 수록된 논문의 주제를분석하여 한국 보건사회학의 특성을 찾아보았다. 사회역학 분야에서는 직무스트레스, 노인건강, 정신건강을 다룬 논문들이 많았으나 환자집단을 심층적으로 분석한 논문들이 희소했다. 건강행동 분야에서는 건강습관 및 의료이용이 논문이 다수를 차지하였다. 그러나 주제가 음주 흡연 또는 형평성 등특정 주제에 한정되는 경향이 있었다. 의사 환자 병원 분야에서는 연구 논문 자체가 적고, 또한 의사,한의사, 환자를 다룬 논문은 희소하였다. 제도와 정책 분야에서는 건강보험에 대한 논문들이 많았지만 제도와 정책의 사회적 관계를 심층적으로 다루지는 못하고 있었다. 결론적으로 보건사회학의 발전을 위해 향후 연구주제를 다양하게 하고 사회학 이론에 기초한 분석이 시도하는 것이 필요한 것으로 보인다.
