This deals with developing learning/teaching skills by understanding how university students recognize the meaning differences of the polysemy with different parts of speech by way of questionaires The results show that students get the strategies understanding the second meaning and recognizing its part of speech by means of analyzing the grammatical structures and perceiving the right meaning out of discrepant function and meaning from contexts. They mostly learned the vocabulary by rote memory far exams, however they tried to develop the way of setting meaning from contexts more than rate memory or a dictionary.
Dictionaries become a last resort to figure out meanings. Thus, as for the teaching strategies, meanings as well as different structural functions should be taught more with visual aids as well as in context rather than the definitional approach. Students should be more encouraged to guess the right second meaning more aggressively.
