장기집단상담에 집단원으로 참여한 상담자의 성장 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 = Examining Counselors’ Self-Growth Experiences from Undergoing Long-Term Group Counseling: A Phenomenological Study

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to examine the self-growth experiences of counselors participating in long-term in-depth group counseling. Data were collected by conducting individual interviews with 10 counselors, attending long-term group counseling since over a year. Further, Giorgi’s phenomenological method was used for data analysis. The analysis results generated a total of 172 semantic units, 37 sub-categories, and 15 categories; these findings could be classified into 3 broad themes: 1) reason for participation, 2) experiences, and 3) self-growth through long-term group counseling. Thus, the current study findings indicated that the participants internalized the lessons, obtained from undergoing repeated long-term counseling, to improve their competencies for practical counseling.
