대학생의 고쳐쓰기 점검도구 개발을 위한 텍스트 분석 - 자기소개서를 대상으로 - = Students Self-Correction the Text Analysis for the Development of Evaluation Rubric - Based on Self-Introduction Texts -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was intended to establish a correction tool with which university students are able to revise completed writings in order for them to improve their writing skills. For the purpose of this study, I have selected self-introduction letters as a basis genre which show the practical writing skills of freshmen and can be prepared as a short piece without background knowledge. The study covers 70 different letters with a total of 29,337 phrases submitted by freshmen who took the ‘Thought and Expression’ class of the first and second semesters at S University in the year 2012. These classified letters were analyzed by the corrected points that had adversely affected the understanding and legibility of the readers, as the content had not appropriately reflected the features of the writing task. Analyzed errors and corrected points were classified into specific types and processed statistically into a body. The correction tool can be used as a reference to uncover a vast range of corrected points, allowing them to be classified into a micro-structure of word units, a macro-structure of sentence-paragraph units, and the general meaning of a paragraph, as well as the overall top-level structure of semantic paragraphs. This study allowed students of an actual class to use the established tool for identifying errors in their own writing. It seems that various correction processes including peer interaction and cooperation, as well as the lecturer’s monitoring based on trust will help the learners internalize the writing training that meets their specific purpose and academic field.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 쓰기 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 한 가지 방법으로, 학습자 스스로 자신이 완성한 글을 고쳐 쓰고 보완할 수 있도록 하는 점검도구를 구성하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대학교 신입생의 자기소개서 70편(29,337어절)을 분석하여 독자와 의사소통에서 방해를 줄 수 있는 다양한 오류, 실수, 어색한 표현 등 여러 가지 사항을 유형화하였다. 그리고 이 결과를 활용하여 학습자 스스로 자신의 글을 고쳐서 쓸 수 있도록 도와주는 도구를 설계하였다. 이 점검도구를 실제 수업에서 활용한 결과 자기점검, 동료점검, 교수점검의 다양한 점검과정을 거치면서 학습자의 고쳐쓰기 능력이 점차 향상될 수 있었다. 이 점검도구를 보다 더 객관적이고 세밀하게 검증하고 수정․보완한다면 진학과 입사 과정에 필수적인 자기소개서 쓰기에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이며, 학습자가 더 좋은 글을 쓸 수 있도록 도와주는 도구가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대가 된다.
