사내하청 노동자들의 위험노출과 업무관련 사고,질병으로 인한 결근 및 불건강 증상 = Exposed Risk of In-house Contracted Workers and Their Absenteeism and Ill-health Symptom Experience Caused by Work-related Accident and Diseases

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper analysed 2nd year Korean working conditions survey(Y2010) which is the only available data containing the information of in-house contracted workers and occupational health and safety variables, and provide their current conditions. As a result of the analysis, in-house contracted workers are more exposed to risk than others according to descriptive analysis and econometrics model analysis in which other conditions are being controlled. In addition, in-house contracted workers have a high probability of absenteeism caused by work-related accidents and illness, and have a higher rate of having work-related ill-health symptom experience. When it estimates with a regression analysis based on the subjectively measured information, in-house contracted workers have a higher level of risk exposure in physical risk and musculoskeletal risk within statistical significant. When it estimates with a logit regression model, in-house contracted workers have a 1.9% point higher absence rate, which is somewhat higher than the average rate, 2.5%. They also have a higher probability of having work-related ill-health symptoms, which is around 7.9% point higher. According to the statistical results, it is found that in-house contacted workers are facing a higher risk in terms of occupational safety and health. The government needs to participate in relaxing the gap of the risk in the different levels.
