This research analyzed Accreditation Standard for Dental Hygiene Education Program and compared to Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene curriculums in dental hygiene programs. The dental hygiene accreditation standards were developed by Commission on Dental Accreditation in ADA and represent requirements and guidelines for dental hygiene programs. The accreditation standards were composed of six components: institutional effectiveness, educational program, administration, faculty and staff, educational support services, health and safety provisions, patient care services. The standards were stated that the curriculum must include content in four areas:general education, biomedical sciences, dental sciences and dental hygiene science. And the patient care competencies needed for graduation was defined.
