This study developed a 16-lesson health-related physical education program for underrepresented children which will increase physical activity during physical education classes and outside of school. It was proposed that 100 children were assigned to two conditions in a quasi-experimental design. It was also proposed that dodge ball program was taught by physical education specialists or trained classroom teachers based on Hellison’s (1978) Taking Personality and Social Responsibility model. Students in this class would be compared with those in the control classes. It was hypothesized that participants in the treatment group would show significant intervention effects compared to the control group. The evaluation process was also discussed in the manuscript.
