공간적 의사결정과정 지원을 위한 온톨로지 연구 = A Study on Ontology for Spatial Decision Making Support

Spatial decision making has emerged from the co-evolution of research in decision support systems and geographical information systems. Because of issues of interoperability and scale, these systems face complex problem and opportunities in real world. This paper present a conventional and ontology assisted view of SDSS capability and discuss current trends in GIS relevant to spatial decision support. We introduce and discuss technologies and methodologies being developed for the ontology-based design of geographical knowledge. A ontology enabled spatial problem is presented and its advantages for decision generation of alternatives are discussed. We discuss extensions and challenges in ontology research as they pertain to spatial decision support.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

공간적 의사결정과정은 전통적 의사결정지원시스템에 기반을 둔 것으로 공간에서 갈등을 야기시키는 복잡한 문제들을 효과적으로 해결하고 보다 바람직한 의사결정과정을 지원하기 위한 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 공간의사결정과정을 지원하기 위한 상호운영성에 초점을 맞춘 온톨로지를 제안하였다. 공간적 의사결정과정을 지원하기 위한 지리적 지식은 실세계 공간에 전제되어있음을 고려하여 공간적 상황을 인지하고, 인간의 인식론적 선택사항을 반영하는 방법론이 필요하다. 본 연구의 온톨로지는 인간인식에 있어서 특수한 주제, 시공간적 상황, 그리고 실세계의 존재하는 사상을 고려하였다. 이 방안은 지리적 지식표현을 위한 공간사상의 개념화, 제약조건, 그리고 공리를 설정하여 공간사상의 지리적 지식표현을 설계하였다. 또한 통합된 정규화를 위해 W3C에서 권고하는 표준화된 온톨로지 언어인 OWL를 사용한 방안을 제시하였다.
