교회를 위한 성서해석: 영산 신학을 중심으로 = An interpretation of the Bible for the Church: Centred on the Yongsan’s theology

The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of Dr.
Cho, Yonggi’s interpretation of the Bible. His reading of the Bible is particularly church-oriented. Dr. Cho interprets the Bible as the Word of God for human salvation. In other words, in his many sermons and books, Dr. Cho consistently looks for the essential meaning of the Bible that God provides. To deal with this matter is the most important thing for him. Dr. Cho’s interpretation is a result of perfect reading of the Bible in this contemporary society and accurately grasps the core-values the Bible aims for. In short, his interpretation of the Bible is to apply the value that the text reveals for the present Sitz im Leben. The author of this article has discovered four dimensions of Dr. Cho’s interpretation of the Bible for the church. The-first is ‘Spiritual Theology’ as a constituting principle of the church, the second is ‘the Authority of the Bible’ as a guiding principle of the church, the third is ‘the Three-Fold blessing’as an acting principle, and the-fourth is ‘social service/social salvation’ as a responsible principle of the church. As a result, the characteristics of Dr. Cho’s interpretation of the Bible for the church have very positive and practical merits not to produce a meaning irrelevant to the text but to understand the text rightly.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 영산 조용기 목사의 성서해석에 나타난 특징을 분석하여 정리하는데 있다. 영산의 성서읽기는 한 마디로 교회를 위한 성서해석이라고 칭할 수 있다. 영산은 성서를 인간의 구원을 위한 하나님의 말씀으로 해석한다. 바꿔 말하면, 영산의 설교와 저작은 전체적으로 하나님이 제공하신 성서의 본질적 의미를찾는데 일관하며, 그는 이 과제를 가장 중요하게 취급한다. 영산의 성서해석은오늘의 현실에서 신약성서를 제대로 읽어낸 결과로 보이며, 성서가 지향하는 구원이라는 핵심가치를 정확하게 포착한다. 한 마디로 성서의 본문이 드러내는 가치를 현재의 삶의 자리에 적용하는 방식으로 변용한 것이 영산의 성서해석의 특징이다. 필자는 영산의 교회를 위한 성서해석의 네 차원을 발견했는데 첫째, 교회의 구성원리인 성령신학, 둘째, 교회의 지도원리인 성서의 권위, 셋째, 교회의행동원리인 삼중축복, 넷째, 교회의 책임원리인 사회구원이 바로 그것이다. 영산의 교회를 위한 성서해석의 특징은 본문과 상관없이 의미생산에만 치중한 게 아니라 본문에 대한 정당한 이해가 이루어져야 한다는 점을 실제로 확인시켰다는점에서 매우 긍정적이며 실천적인 장점을 갖는다.
