대학생의 완벽주의적 자기제시와 사회불안의 관계 : 자기침묵과 정서표현 양가성의 순차적 매개효과 = The Relationship Between Perfectionistic Self-Presentation and Social Anxiety in University Students : The Sequential Mediating Effects of Self-Silencing and Emotional Expression Ambivalence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대학생의 완벽주의적 자기제시와 사회불안의 관계 : 자기침묵과 정서표현 양가성의 순차적 매개효과 본 연구는 대학생의 완벽주의적 자기제시가 사회불안에 미치는 영향에서 자기 침묵과 정서표현 양가성의 순차적 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현 재 국내 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 334명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시 하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 PROCESS Macro를 사 용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 단순 및 순차적 매개효과 분석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 완벽주의적 자기제시와 자기침묵, 정서표현 양가성, 사회불안 간에는 모 두 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 완벽주의적 자기제시는 자기침묵을 유의하게 예측하였으며, 셋째, 자기침묵은 정서표현 양가성을 유의하게 예측하였 다. 넷째, 정서표현 양가성은 사회불안을 유의하게 예측하였다. 다섯째, 완벽주의 적 자기제시가 사회불안에 미치는 영향에서 자기침묵과 정서표현 양가성이 순차 적으로 매개하는 경로가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 정서 억제 및 자기표현 회피 경향이 사회 불안에 미치는 심리적 경로에 대한 이해를 높였으며, 대학생 대상의 정서 중재 개입과 상담 장면에 시사점을 제공하였다. 연구의 의의와 한계, 후속 연구를 위 한 제언 또한 함께 논의하였다.

The Relationship Between Perfectionistic Self - Presentation and Social Anxiety in University Stu -dents: The Sequential Mediating Effects of Self -Silencing and Emotional Expression Ambivalence Lee, Ye Jun Dept. of Industrial Psychology The Graduate School Kwangwoon University The purpose of this study was to examine the sequential mediating effects of self-silencing and emotional expression ambivalence on the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and social anxiety in university students. To this end, data were collected from 334 students currently enrolled in Korean universities through an online survey. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and the PROCESS Macro to conduct descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, and analyses of simple and sequential mediation effects. The results are as follows. First, perfectionistic self-presentation, self-silencing, emo- tional expression ambivalence, and social anxiety all showed significant positive correlations. Second, perfectionistic self-presentation significantly predicted self-silencing. Third, self-silencing significantly predicted emotional expression ambivalence. Fourth, emotional expression ambivalence sig- nificantly predicted social anxiety. Fifth, the sequential me- diating path from perfectionistic self-presentation to social anxiety via self-silencing and emotional expression ambiv- alence was found to be significant. Finally, the study contributes to a better understanding of how emotional suppression and avoidance of self-expression can lead to heightened social anxiety. Practical implications for emotional intervention and counseling for university stu- dents were discussed, along with the significance, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
