    Nation's concern about the education of economy has been ulcreased accordulg to the economic development hi the world.
    Since after mid 1960s, Korea has accomplished rapidly high growth of economic development, and so peoples concern about the education of economy was increased.
    The purpose of this study is to find how the features of the scool education of the economics has been changed n the course of the respective period of the school curriculum.
    This analysis is centered into the school education of economy from elementary school to high school.
    The condensation is as followings.
    1. Education of economy in elementary school
    In the early U S military administration, the subject social studies’ was not set up not set up seperately in Korea, and the equivalences of the socal studies instead were civics, history and geography. At this time, the eaucation of economy was taught in the civics.
    At the 1946, the subject 'social life' which was called In Korean was set up as a subject in relation the social studies and later the name of social life was changed as social studies ever since that tune, the education of economy was treated in this subject up to now. But the contents of the education of economy was changed in the course of the changes of each curriculum period. At the early time, the education of economy in elementary school was focused in the consumption, but changed in be increased into the trade and National economic development.
    2. Education of economy in the middle school
    The education of economy in the middle school was taught n the subject 'civics' like the elementary school under the early US military administration. But at the period of 1st curriculum, since the subject 'social studies’ had been set up, the education of economy had been taught in taught subject. The education of economy in middle school was getting more enriched n the contents in the course of the national economic development Since after 1995, the education of economy has been taught in the 1st grade and 3rd grade.
    3. Education of economy in high school
    Korea high school was set up n seperating from the advanced middle school n the past. In high school, education of economy had been taught hi the subject, 'general social studios' and 'politics and economics' up to the 2nd period of Korean school curriculum. At the 4^th period of it, economy belonged to the social studies I, II and at the 5th period of curriculum, education of economy was taught in the politics and economics which was seperated from the social studies. At the 6th period of school curriculum, educations of economy hi high school are expected to be taught in the seperated subject 'Economics' That means that the education of economy is strengthened more.
