The poetic selves in The Myth of Jilma Pass(Lljisa, 1975), Poems of a Waif(Minumsa, 1976), Poems of the Days a Crane Has Gone with Crying(Sosulmunhaksa, 1982) are to be reflexed on transcendent wills to promote human lively history and lives of the populate up to the sacred. This argument has purposed to illuminate the way of Seo's view of the world through elaborating on the personalities of the merrymaking narrators in these poetries. His merrymaking narrators have reformed characters in his poems from being mundane toward being sacred, and from being authoritarian or sacred toward being in possession of common desires.
These narrators have revealed the poet's senses that he has willed to overcome pains in the life by not attitudes in sincerity or seriousness but inductions to pleasure and delightfulness. This poet's senses has contained an optimistic view of the reality. This world made by an imagination of the poet is to be the world of laughter than pain. Jung-Joo Seo is to be said that he has been not a poet direct against the reality but a poet being in possession of a newly hermeneutical formula and wisdom about the reality. Therefore, his poetry senses must have been always proper distance with the reality at the same time has made the reality its objects.
