      The study aims to explore the factors causing private education for different university admission types. A survey was conducted to 551 students who were enrolled in 7 universities. The result showed that the factor of high school education was significant for causing private education. For the question of “Why didn`t you need to take private education or lessons?”, many students answered that they had opportunities of learning from ‘After school program’ or from school teachers. This result implied that the quality or programs of high school education could reduce students` need for private education. Accordingly, this study suggests that high schools should improve the content or level of classroom instruction and the education programs to reduce private education.
