This study divided 30 girls`` high school students into 15 experimental group and 15 comparative group in order to examine their listening to music on EEG activity using brain wave vibration training. Experimental group listened to music for 20 min. twice a week through 25 weeks after brain wave vibration training and comparative group listened to music only. For measuring brain wave, electrode was attached to 8 channels including Fp1, Fp2, F3, F4, T3, T4, P3, and P4, stimulations by three kinds of music using background EEG and canon variation were measured for 140 sec. respectively and relative power was analyzed. Stimulation 1 was made by consolation music of Andante in the form of monody played by Orgel, Stimulation 2 also used consolation music of Andante in the form of acappella duet chorus and Stimulation 3 was composed of exciting music of Allegro in the form of techno-style polyphony of counterpoint. As a result of ANOVA with repeated measures before and after the experiment, it was found that there was a significant difference only in alpha wave of EEG. Experimental group showed a significant alpha wave activity in one part, P4 of right of the parietal region in Stimulation 1, five parts of prefrontal region including Fp1, Fp2, F3, and F4 in Stimulation 2 and in three parts of prefrontal region including Fp2, F3, and F4 3 in Stimulation 3 compared to comparative group. The difference between groups of alpha waves reflecting the previous stage of stability and attention form for different musical stimulation with prefrontal region as the central figure implied brain wave vibration training contributed to improvement of their musicality by inducing mental and physical balance and relaxed concentration.
