    Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries and public services by enhancing efficiency and addressing societal challenges. Technologies such as Digital Twins, Large Language Models (LLMs), and simulations have been applied in disaster response, urban management, and robotics training. Cities worldwide use AI for governance and social welfare including Ottawa’s homelessness risk prediction, San Jose’s road safety improvements, and Boston’s traffic flow optimization. AI also enhances public administration, with Tokyo’s Machida City implementing an AI Navigator for administrative support and Saitama’s Toda City identifying students at risk of school refusal. Furthermore, AI-driven dementia prevention programs assist aging populations. On a global scale, the U.S. addresses AI’s impact on the labor market, China accelerates digital transformation, and the EU enforces ethical AI regulations through the AI Act. As AI’s influence expands, integrating it responsibly while addressing ethical and policy challenges is crucial for sustainable development and social benefits.
