국내시장지배력 및 조직역량이 수출전략에 미치는 효과: 외환위기 후 급격한 환경변화의 조절적 역할 = The effects of domestic competitive position and organizational capabilities on a firm`s export strategy: Moderating role of the radical environmental upheaval due to the IMF crisis

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the effects of domestic market position and organizational capabilities on Korean firms` exporting strategies before and after the Korean economic crisis. We find that those firms more adversely affected by the crisis tend to dramatically change their exporting strategies. Furthermore, our results suggest that not all capabilities uniformly help firms to pursue exporting strategies. Rather, we find that domestically-bounded capabilities limit flexibility while capabilities that are not locationally bounded help firms to reorient their strategies toward exporting. The results of this research suggest the importance of a firm`s position in an industry and capabilities for its exporting strategies following a major environ- mental upheaval.
