한국 기업 및 성인교육 글로벌화를 위한 이슈와 과제 : 세계시민교육을 중심으로 = Issues and Challenges for the Globalisation of Korean Companies and Adult Education : Focusing on Global Citizenship Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

코로나19로 인한 팬데믹과 트럼기 2기 정부의 관세전쟁으로 글로벌화의 변화로 전 세계적인 글로벌 갈등이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 글로벌 갈등을 줄이기 위해 전 세계는 협력을위한 글로벌 시민교육의 필요성에 주목하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 한국의 기업 및 성인교육분야에서 글로벌 시민교육의 현상을 살펴보고 이에 대한 한계점과 개선방을 살펴보는 것을목적으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 한국은 글로벌 사회에서의 위상 제고와 한국 기업의 활발한 해외진출에도 불구하고 다음과 같은 한계점이 있었다.
첫째, 한국 교육분야에서는 학교교육이 중심으로 진행되어 기업 및 성인교육 분야에서는제한적인 세계시민 교육이 이루어져왔다.
둘째, 세계시민교육에 대한 관심은 2010년 이후 증가했으나 대부분 세계시민교육의 이론적 연구 위주로 이루어져서 세계시민교육에 대한 교육 프로그램이 부족했다.
이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 다음과 같은 제언을 제시하였다.
첫째, 글로벌 교육 프로그램과 교육내용 확충을 위해 한국에 거주하는 외국인뿐 아니라해외 한국법인에 근무하는 외국인들을 피교육자 및 교수자로 동시에 활용하는 것이다.
둘째, 세계시민교육뿐 아니라 글로벌 교육프로그램 확충을 위해 기업 및 성인 교육관련자들의 글로벌 네트워킹 확장이 필수적이다.

The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the tariff war initiated by the Trump administration's second term have led to changes in globalisation, resulting in an increase in global conflicts worldwide. In response, the global community is increasingly recognising the need for global citizenship education to reduce such conflicts. This study aims to examine the current state of global citizenship education in South Korea's corporate and adult education sectors and identify its limitations and areas for improvement. The analysis revealed that despite South Korea’s enhanced global standing and the active overseas expansion of Korean companies, the following limitations exist.
First, in the Korean education sector, school education has been the main focus, and global citizenship education has been limited in the corporate and adult education sectors.
Second, although interest in global citizenship education has increased since 2010, most of the focus has been on theoretical research, resulting in a lack of educational programmes on global citizenship education.
In this study, we propose the following recommendations to overcome these limitations.
First, in order to expand global education programmes and content, foreigners residing in Korea and foreigners working at Korean companies overseas should be utilised as both learners and instructors.
Second, in order to expand global education programmes beyond global citizenship education, it is essential to expand global networking among companies and adult education professionals.
