This study was conducted based on theoretical grounds, such as the behavioral intention model of Fishbein and Ajzen(1975,1980) and EBM consumer behavior model and highly purchase-involved consumer behavior model of Ray(1973), DeBruicker(1979). The hypothesis suggested was tested using the consumer behavior system among belief-attitude-intention-behavior. When considering image as the meaning of belief in this study, trust can serve as a variable to mediate between belief and attitude.
The purpose of this was to study how corporate image and brand image affect purchase intention by consumer trust and attitude on apartment dwellers. To achieve the purpose, studied documents on corporate image, brand image, consumer trust, attitude and purchase intention. To conduct a positive analysis, designed a study model and set up a hypothesis. To test the hypothesis, conducted a survey and made a positive analysis of the survey results using a multivariate statistical analysis. The results and suggestions of this study are as follows:
First, the corporate image of strong social responsibility had a positive effect on consumer trust. That is, when corporations carry out social responsibility, consumers become to trust them. As consumers trust the information and quality offered by the corporations carry out social responsibility, corporations should win consumer trust by returning the part of their profits to society.
Second, the corporate image of stable financial soundness had a positive effect on consumer trust. That is, when corporations have stable financial soundness, consumers become to trust them. As consumers the information and quality of corporations having stable financial soundness, corporations should win consumer trust by successfully managing business.
Third, the brand image of good quality had a positive effect on consumer trust. That is, when a brand has good quality, consumers become to trust it more. As consumers trust the brand image of good quality, corporations should win consumer trust by doing their best to develop products.
Fourth, the brand image of high investment value had a positive effect on consumer trust. That is, when a brand has high investment value, consumers become to trust and select it. As consumers trust the brand image of high investment value, corporations should do their best to develop a brand of high investment value.
Fifth, consumer trust had a positive effect on consumer attitude. That is, as consumers trust a corporation and its brand, they have are more positive to purchase its product. Therefore, corporations should win consumer trust by improving corporate and brand images. This suggests that the more trustful consumers are, the more favorable they are.
Sixth, consumer attitude had a positive effect on consumer's purchase intention. That is, the more positive attitude consumers have, the higher purchase intention they have. This suggests that corporations should pursue customer satisfaction and emotion management to improve consumer's purchase intention by keeping their positive attitude.
The findings of this study help marketers understand consumer trust and attitude to corporations and brands and the course of consumer behavior on purchase intention. If further analyses are conducted by changing other variables centering on this study model, more practical and scientific studies on consumer behavior to apartments will be expected. If marketers analyze consumer behavior based on this findings, they will understand their customers better and work out appropriate marketing strategies.
