    초, 중등학교에서 교실수업과 웹기반 학습을 연계한 커뮤니티 기반 프로젝트 학습모형 개발 연구 = A study on the development of community-based project learning models combined with blended learning approach in K-12 setting

    This study aims to develop community-based project learning model appropriate for a new learning environment, by combining community-based blended learning concept with project learning model; the former concept refers to methods of blending classroom learning and online learning with K-12 settings. Background data for developing model were collected and basic framework was established through literature review, case studies and searching of related web sites. The model system and underlying phases and procedures were planned out through efforts by experts committee consisting of researchers as well as field experts. Next, instructors in the field tested the viability and limitations of the model by applying the model to the real learning environment. The subjects to which the model was applied were 35 6th graders in S elementary school at Incheon. Total of 6 project teams consisting of 5~6 students undertook 10 learning projects via online media. The self-reflection notes offered by students were utilized as main source of learning satisfaction analysis. On a 5 point scales, subjects agreed most to the statement ‘project learning is interesting and fun(N=3.91). The statement ‘I can understand well the contents of the learning’ was also relatively high(N=3.89). Overall score of satisfaction was 3.74. The result suggests that project learning generally improves learner satisfaction, learner attitude and development of ICT skills of both learner and instructor. In addition, the self-reflection note analysis suggested that after project learning learners displayed positive attitude toward online? offline collaborative learning, cooperative learning with fellow learner, community-based learning and self motivated knowledge construction. For future research, pre-training for learners to actively apply themselves, application of creative and flexible model usage strategy, allocation of school hours for online communal activities, and development of evaluation criteria & tools for assessing outcomes of instruction were suggested.
