o 유전자재조합식품 및 식품첨가물안전성 평가자료 심사지침 개정안의 작성
o 현 심사지침의 문제점 도출:
- 평가항목의 실행 가능성 및 당위성 분석
- 현 지침 및 안전성평가 세부절차에 대한 검토
o 외국의 안전성평가 지침 정보 수집
- 현행 및 개발 중인 평가지침의 수집: 현지출장，인터넷 및 문헌수집 등
- Codex, WHO, FAO 등에서 논의되고 있는 GMO 심사기준
- 미국，일본, EU 등의 GMO 심사기준
o 수집된 평가지침간 차이 분석
o 평가실례에 대한 사례분석 및 수집:
- 현지출장, 인터넷 및 문헌수집 등
o 우리 나라 실정에 맞게 GMO 미생물을 이용하여 식품 및 식품첨가물을 생산하는 경우의 심사평가 방법을 개발
- 평가대상의 범위 설정
- 평가항목 선정
- 평가방법 설정
- 평가세부절차도 마련
o 유전자재조합 식품 및 식품첨가물안전성 평가자료 심사지침 개선(안) 작성
o 국내외 전문가를 활용한 지침(안)에 대한 검토 : 산업계，학계, 연구소의 전문가들의 의견을 설문 등
o 수집자료의 기반자료화
IV. 연구개발결과
o 본 연구에서는 현재 시행중인 지침에 대한 개선안을 작성하고, 유전자재조합미 생물에 대한 심사기준을 작성하고자 하였다. 미생물을 직접식용하는 식품 등에 대한 경우는 아직까지 유전의 전달에 대한 문제가 해결되지 않은 상황이므로 이에 대한 조절이 필요하다.
o 따라서 주로 유전자재조합체를 비식용하는 경우의 미생물 유래 식품 등에 대한 심사항목과 함께, 현행 식물에 대한 심사 항목에 대해 개선(안)을 작성하였다.

o 유전자재조합 식품 및 식품첨가물의 안전성 확보와 국민 이해의 토대 구축
o 제 외국의 통상압력에 대한 대응체제로서의 논리적 토대 제공
o 유전자재조합 식품•식품첨가물의 안전성 평가자료 심사지침의 개정안 토대
o 수집자료의 기반자료로 사용
o 전문가들에 의한 검토를 거친 개선(안)으로 건의함

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was aimed to modify the present guidelines for the safety assessment on food and food additives derived from Genetically Modified Organisms. Three years experience of assessment with present guidelines which are targeted to the GM plant derived food and food additives raised the need for complementation and revision of the guidelines. And the rapid change of the Research and Development ask the need to supplement of the guidelines for genetically modified microorganisms derived food and food additives. Through the comparison of several guidelines Including Korean, Japanese and American guidelines and consultation with many experts, the front view of the guidelines for the safety assessment on food and food Additives derived from Genetically Modified Organisms were prepared. This front view was aimed to meet the need for guidelines for the GM microorganisms and to meet the law for the intergovernmental movement of LMOs which is prepared by MOCIE aimed to meet the Cartajena protocols.
