박수근회화의 특징과 나무그림검사를 통해본 심리특성|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

박수근은 강원도 양구출신으로 일제강점기와 해방, 그리고 전쟁과 그로 인한 혼란기를 경험한 우리나라의 대표적인 근대 미술가중의 한 사람이다.
그의 작품의 특징은 크게 세 가지로 나누어 볼 수 있는데 첫째, 색채가 절제된 회백색과 암갈색으로 대변되는 무채색의 분위기 둘째, 형태의 단순성 셋째, 돌의 질감과도 같은 두터운 표면 질감을 든다.
그의 이러한 작품의 특징은 한국인이 가지고 있는 정서에 잘 맞는 것으로 박수근을 가장 <한국적인 화가>, <서민의 화가>로 부르며 친근감을 갖는 원인이라고 볼 수 있다. 박수근은 그의 작품의 소재로 <일하는 연인>, <나무>, <농악>, <어린이>등을 많이 사용했는데 특히 나무그림의 경우 줄기와 가지가 강조되며, 잎을 표현하지 않는 등 뚜렷한 형태적 특징을 갖고 있다. 이러한 형태적 특징은 그의 성격을 파악할 수 있는 중요한 단서를 제공하고 있다.
본 연구는 박수근의 작품 속에 나타난 나무그림의 특징을 알아보고 그의 심리특성을 유추해 보는 것이다. 심리특성을 추론하기 위해 사용한 것은 Buck(1948)의 HTP(House-Tree-Person)검사 중 나무그림검사를 사용하였다.
박수근의 작품에서 보여진 나무의 특성은 선이 굵으면서 진하고, 줄기가 굵으며, 가지가 많고 위를 향해 있으며, 잎이 없는 것이 전체적인 특성이다.
박수근의 작품에서 나무그림의 특성을 분석해 보면 그는 민감하고 감수성이 풍부하며 어떤 목표에 적극적인 사람으로 보여 진다. 또한 야망이 있으며, 강한 힘(생명력)과 에너지가 내면에 자리 잡고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 한편 자기 자신이 어떻게 할 수 없어서 힘든 자신의 마음 상태가 나무그림에서 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Park Su Geun is from Yang Gu, Gangwon do and one of our representative modern artists who experienced Japanese colonial era, independence of afterwards, war and following internal chaos. His painting are roughly divided into three; first, controlled color use and monotone mood, second, the simplicity of the formation and third, tough and thick touch to express texture like stone.
These characteristics are matched to the emotion of Korean so we call him <The most Korean style artist>, <Painter of people>. He used <Working lovers>, <Tree>, <Nong Ak>, <Children> as his subject and especially in tree painting, he emphasized its stem and branches and he didn't drew leaves; they all are having clear and unique characteristics in its forms. And that is an important clue for us to figure out his personality.
In this study, we categorized the special feature of trees on his painting to analogize his psychiatric characteristics of them. We used tree painting test from HTP(House-Tree-Person) of Buck(1948) for this analogy.
Trees on his paintings were drawn with thick and dark lines, its stems were thick, there were a lot of branches which headed to up and no leaves.
In the painting of Park Su Geun, he seems sensitive, sensible and active for a certain goal. He seems also ambitious and had a strong power (power of life) and energy in him. His tree shows his desperate and hard times which he couldn't handle.
