군 조직내 팔로워십의 주요역량에 관한 탐색적 연구 = Exploratory Study on the Main Competency of Followership in Military Organizations

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 군(軍) 조직의 중간관리자들이 인식하고 있는 팔로워십의 주요역량을 도출함으로써 팔로워십 연구의 토대를 마련하고 조직구성원의 팔로워십 역량 개발을 위한 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 육군 장교 27명을 대상으로 문헌연구, 개방형설문, 초점집단면접(FGI)을 통해 지식, 기술, 태도 영역별로 팔로워십의 주요역량을 도출했다. 본 연구의 결과, 팔로워십의 주요역량은 조직목표공유, 지적능력, 대인관계, 의사소통, 자신감, 성실성, 충성심, 자기관리, 적극성, 책임감 등 10가지로 분석되었다. 그리고 선행연구(이희성, 문형구, 1998)와 비교해 볼 때 군 조직에서 추가적으로 인식하는 팔로워십 역량으로는 리더의 의도이해, 업무예측, 문제해결능력, 리더와의 친밀감, 겸손, 자기개방, 설득력, 추진력, 정직성, 실수인정 등으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 팔로워십 역량 개발의 기반을 제공해 줄 수 있으며 팔로워십 주요역량에 대한 연구가 부족한 상태에서 이 분야를 연구하는 연구자들의 관심 제고 및 연구의 토대를 마련해 줄 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to derive the main competency of followership perceived by middle managers in the military and to provide the concern for developing followership competency. Through literature research, open-ended questionnaire and focus group interview among 27 military officers, the evidence of followership competency was classified into knowledge, skills and attitude domains. The findings in the main competency of followership were divided into ten sections and the 10 types of followership were additionally founded, which was not reviewed on the precedent study. This study is expected to contribute to further development of followership in the military and to a better understanding of followership in other organizations.
