Objective : This study is to investigate the pertinent abduction angle for reduction of the shoulder subluxation among hemiplegic patients using Bobath's type arm sling.
Method : Thirteen patients with shoulder subluxation were enrolled. 6 pairs of isosceles triangle were made. Each triangle had the angle 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and ninety degree. Regarding as the parameters we used Joint Disturbance, V-shape Angle, Vertical Distance, visual analogue pain scale, manual muscle test and spasticity.
Result : Joint Disturbance, V-shape Angle, Vertical Distance and visual analogue pain scale were changed prominently between 30 degree and 45 degree. But manual muscle test, spasticity have no significant relation between each angle of the shoulder.
Conclusion : We concluded that 30 degree was the pertinent abduction angle for shoulder subluxation.
