In this essay, I have tried to seek the role of literary works in everyday speech. and to make clear the function of reading in our life. The focus of my discussion was given to the linguistic aspect of literature in the usage of eceryday life. Above all, I have made my best effort to make clear the following ideas:
Through the training of language learinig in early childhood, it is most important factor to decelop the mental ability. Especially I have emphasized that language is a living thing which can inspire us to do a nobler act to save other people, and that language has a mystic function to relieve us from frustration and miserable mental state in daily life which Matthew Arnold called moral idea that is scattered innumerably in literary classics.
From this point of view, I have tried to show the way to read literature effectively.
In conclusion, I have tried to develop my fundamental idea that the language in literature is the only pivot of life which supports us, the readers, in crisis and inspires us to have an unconquerable will.
