학교음악교육과 사회음악교육의 연계를 위한 현황연구: 인천광역시 동부 초등학교를 중심으로 = A Study on the Current Status of Linkage between School Music Education and Private Music Education: Focused on In-Choen Dong Bu Elementary Student

It is important that through music, children can express and understand themselves, find their aesthetic potential and develop them, develop one`s whole personality, and create the culture of society. According to the importance music education, children gain musical experience through private music institutes outside the music education at school. However, there are no interchange and no communication between the music education in school and private institutes, resulting in educational dualism. To find a better way for music education in a situation like this, following research has contrasted and analyzed the current situation of school music education and private music education. Based on this information, this essay is aiming to propose about the teaching-learning plan and management of music education, considering the original purpose of music education and teachers` ability. This research has targeted school teachers in eastern part of Incheon city and teachers in private institutes. For the accuracy of the research data, only teachers with music teaching experience were selected for survey. The survey was answered by 42 school music teachers and 90 private institute teachers. Base on the result of data analyze research, I will advice in three ways about linkage between school music education and private music education. First, there should be school teachers` association managed by jurisdiction education department. To achieve the original purpose of music education, there should be a place where school music teachers and private music teachers can exchange information and communicate with each other. Most of all, we need to use this opportunity to share information about development and usage of teaching aids, guidelines for teaching, and technique involving movements in class. Second, through cooperation between musicians in city music organization and teachers in private music institute, an after-school program which can be connected inside as well as outside the school should be made. This is needed because surrounding of music room in school is unsatisfying and investment for music classes is not enough. For this reason, students should be given an opportunity to receive a professional music class outside the school. It can be once a month or more than once a semester, so that students can get what school classes can`t offer. By making the best use of private music institute, we can supplement the shortage of music instrument and facility. Also, we can provide aesthetic experience, comprehensive music education, chance to experience phonomimesis, and musical movement experience to student. Third, we should lead students to actively participate in performing art culture. By participating students in real art performances, like kid musical, choral, orchestra, etc. we can create base for students to understand the art culture properly.
