학교문법의 겹문장 체계 기술 방안 연구 = A Study on the Description of Complex Sentence System in School Grammar

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to critically examine description of the complex sentence system in Grammar(2002), a textbook of school grammar and present a new descriptive method to solve problems. The study excluded descriptive and quoted clauses of five subcategories of the embedded sentence set up in school grammar because they do not fit the classification system. So, the matrix sentence was sub-categorized into ‘embedded sentence with noun clauses’, ‘embedded sentence with pre-noun clause’, and ‘embedded sentence with adverb clause’.
For a subordinate sentence as a subcategory of conjoined sentence, as the previous clause is defined as an adverb clause, it was excluded from the same category as the conjoined sentence.
In conclusion, the embedded sentence is sub-categorized into embedded sentence with noun clauses, embedded sentence with pre-noun clause and embedded sentence with adverb clause, and the subordinate sentence is sub-categorized into appositional subordinate sentence, oppositional subordinate sentence and optional subordinate sentence.
