국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 박두진의 시세계, 특히 초기시의 ‘자연’ 표상에 대한 조명이다. 주지하다시피, 혜산 박두진의 시세계를 요약하는 핵심어는 ‘자연’, ‘인간’ 그리고 ‘신’이다. 각각은 초기, 중기, 후기시의 중심지점으로 호명되어 왔다. 그러나 박두진과 후속 연구에 의해 공고화된 ‘자연-인간-신’의 삼위일체는 단계적인 경로로 이해되어서는 안 된다. 왜냐하면 혜산의 시는 ‘자연, 인간, 신’이 다층적으로 얽혀 있는 텍스트로 존재하기 때문이다. 이는 혜산의 시에 대한 연구가 처음부터 다의성 혹은 중층성을 적극적으로 사유해야 함을 의미한다.
이를 위해 본고에서는 초기시에 나타난 ‘자연’ 개념을 중심으로 혜산 시의 다양성과 중층성에 대한 논의를 전개하고자 한다. 이는 혜산의 초기시에 대한 가치 평가에 앞서, ‘자연’이 “혜산 시학의 마르지 않는 수원(水源)이자, 제일의 소재 권역이었고, 궁극적 거처”(유성호)라는 판단에서 비롯한다. 실제로 혜산시에서 ‘자연’은 시대와 종교적 사유의 수렴점으로서 기능하고 있다. 본고에서는 ‘자연’의 두 가지 층위를 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 ‘자연과 시대’ 및 ‘자연과 종교’의 교섭 양상을 고찰할 것이다. 이를 통해 혜산 박두진에게 시작(詩作)이 지닌 위상을 가늠해 보고자 한다.

This article"s purpose is to explain the concept of "Nature" in the Park, Du-jin"s early poetry. As everybody knows, the key words to represent Park, Du-jin"s poetry are "Nature", "Human" and "God". Each of them is understood as a center of his early, middle and late period. But this classification is not supposed to be a absolute criterion. For, his poetry is the text with a semantic diversity and duplicity regardless of a period. This means that the study of his poetry should to think of a semantic diversity and duplicity deeply.
For this, this article will focus on the concept of "Nature" in the Park, Du-jin"s early poetry, giving most attention to the relationship of "Nature" and the other concepts("Human" and "God"). This issue is based on a following idea, that is "Nature" is "the endless fountain and the ultimate residence of Park, Du-jin"s poetry". Actually, in the Park, Du-jin"s early poetry "Nature" is continued to function as a convergence of his thought about a society and religion. Therefore I will examine two layers of "Nature" and a relationship of "Nature" and other concepts("Human" and "God"). As a result, we will see the meaning and value of Park, Du-jin"s writing.
