인문사회과학을 위한 내러티브학 탐구의 가능성과 시사점 = The Narratology for Humanities and Social Science

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper intends to explore the possibility and implication of narratology, narrative-based science. This narratology implies new titles of alternative science. But this means beyond title of science. The existing humanities and social science has its limits. It tends to separate the human and society as a subject of inquiry. The limits could be an obstruction to reflect the actual situation and context. The narratology focus Human’s experience and the process of semantic composition. It can be a powerful alternative way for a dichotomy problem of existing humanities and social perspective. In narratology, the process of semantic composition consist with an interaction of the human’s experience and society’s experience. It can provide alternative ways to better understand human and society. We should focus on new narratology based on meaning making and cultural psychology. Narrative knowing is new tool for making new science and discipline.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 내러티브학 탐구의 가능성과 시사점을 탐구하는 것에 있다. 내러티브학은 기존의 인문사회과학에 대한 대안적인 새로운 명명이다. 그러나 단순히 명칭 이상의 의미를 지니며, 학문 탐구 방법과 새로운 인식론을 전제한다. 학문이 발전해 나감에 따라 현상을 해석하는 다양한 설명 방식들이 같이 발전되어 왔다. 기존의 인문사회과학 탐구 방법은 많은 한계를 지니고 있다. 기존의 인문사회과학은 인간과 사회를 탐구의 대상으로 분리하는 경향이 강했다. 이러한 한계는 실제 상황과 맥락을 반영하는 걸림돌이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 내러티브학 탐구 방식은 인간의 경험과 의미 구성에 중심을 둔다. 내러티브 설명 방식은 개인과 사회를 분리된 대상으로 보는 기존의 설명 방식을 보완하여 인간의 경험 속에서 내러티브를 통해 의미를 구성해가는 과정을 중시한다. 이 내러티브 설명 방식은 인간의 경험, 삶, 앎을 총체적으로 해석하는 새로운 방향을 제시한다. 내러티브학 탐구 방식은 기존 인문사회과학이 가진 이분법적 한계를 보완할 유용한 대안이 될 수 있다. 내러티브학 탐구에서는 의미 구성의 과정은 인간의 경험과 사회의 경험의 상호작용으로 구성된다. 내러티브 탐구 방식은 강력한 새로운 인식론적 관점을 제공할 것이다.
