      The purpose of this study is to validate the reliability and validity of KLCM(Korean-style Leadership Competency Mode l), to do a comparative analysis the difference of leadership competencies between the leaders of industry and the commanders of ROK Army, and to investigate the relationship between leadership competencies and leadership effectiveness. The results of the analysis is as follows: 1) KLCM need to be revised because of its weaknesses. 2) The level of leadership competencies tend to increase upward in proposition to the position level of commanders. 3) The highest leadership competency of every commander is `Passion for Achievement` and the lowest leadership competency is `Consideration for Subordinates`. 4) `Consideration for Subordinates` is the most prevailing leadership core competency of both the commanders of ROK Army and the leaders of industry. In conclusion, this paper discusses the limitations and implications of this study, and suggests the direction of the researches using KLCM and the ideas to increase the leadership competencies of the commander of ROK army.
