1920년대 번역에 나타난 조선어 인식 = The cognition on Chosun language of translation in 1920s

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The first purpose of this paper is to review topology of translation and attitude of translator which revealed in 'translation argument' in 1920s. The second purpose is to examine expansion and modification of Chosun language resulted from translation in 1920s. The most typical translator in 1920s were Kim Eok, Yang Joo-dong and Haewaemunhakpa(the school of foreign literature). Their discussion and debate on translation could be described in liberal translation of the text, faithful translation of the text, modern language recognition. Their attitude of translation paved the way to deepen recognition of Chosun language which was intimidated in 1920s. Translator realized keenly the deficiency of mother tongue in this process. That is the limit of Chosun language and Chosun literature. But 1920s translation which showed the deficiency of Chosun language, to get near to original literary value with the process of continuous supplement and modification, on a personal basis or compared with other translators. They toke an exam on Chosun language with the process of continuous supplement and modification. Korean modern literature history could not ignore the meaningful effects, so to speak supplement and modification of Chosun language which resulted from 1920s translation.
