Parents in modern society have opportunities for parent education which is based on the theory of westernized parent-child relationships. The western theory can be accepted in mind but not in action by the parents, because parents are not accustomed to the equal relationship between parent and children, and because the cultural background between our traditional society and the modern society is very different from each other. This study was focused on the differences between the traditional and modern society that might influence the parents' role.
