The purpose of this study is to research the most sensitive make-up cosmetics group, Lipstick. I am going to analyse the link between the trend in color preferences and purchase patterns with lifestyle patterns.
The 90s, as with all decades, showed a similarity between make-up cosmetics and color trends. Spring and Summer ranged from vivid tones, pale tones for highlights, and deep & dark tones for accent. Autumn & Winter were light-dark tones, pastel tones and natural colors. These were the basics for lipstick colors.
The following is statistics showing the purchasing patterns of these tones compared with the lifestyle patterns of a focus group of women in Korea. I have separated students from workers lifestyle patterns. These two groups were equally divided in demographics. Of the two groups 61% were in their twenties and 31% were in their thirties. 72% of the entire group were single.
The entire group purchased on average 13.7 kinds of cosmetic products, and lipstick covered 2.4 of the total yearly average, making lipstick the most frequently bought item.
This is primarily due to T.V. and radio advertising as the source for product information.
Difference that keep in mind statistically by throng in color harmony stolen goods selection(pvalue, <0.05) Comparison of accepted cosmetics groups and economic cosmetics groups showed a percentage of 60.5% and 45.0% respectively. Natural and unique make-up cosmetic preference showed 52.0%. The heavy - user group showed the highest, 52.9% in trend colors preferences
