Concrete pavements in toll plaza have special characteristics in some aspects. Such specialties are the load characteristics due to slow traffic condition, the environmental characteristics due to CO₂ and oil leakage from vehicles, and the geometrical characteristics due to multi-lane connected with tie-bars. These specialties may show many differences in the behavior and response to traffic and environmental condition with general section. The study on these special characteristics have seldom been performed, so we have few informations about the behavior of concrete pavement slabs in toll plaza. And, we have no clear design concepts in these slabs under special load, environmental and geometrical conditions. So it should be necessary to investigate the behavior characteristics and find out the way of enhancing the performance of concrete pavement in toll plaza. This study was performed to find out the rational way to cost down in construction as well as enhance the performance of concrete pavement in toll plaza. We performed the literature review, the computational analysis on the verification of bracking forces of vehicles, the development of computer program for the analysis of temperature distribution of pavement sections and the test construction in the field.
