인공지능 활용 글쓰기의 윤리적 쟁점 탐색 - 표절 문제를 중심으로 - = Exploring the Ethical Issues in AI-Assisted Writing - Focusing on plagiarism -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 AI 활용 글쓰기의 윤리적 쟁점을 표절 문제를 중심으로 탐색하고, 교육의 영역에서 이에 대한 실질적인 대응 방안을 모색할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 하였다.
이를 위해 디자인 씽킹이라는 방법을 활용하여 표절 판정 시나리오를 탐색하고 AI 표절 판정 기준과 범위 히트맵의 프로토타입을 개발하였다. 본고에서 제시한 AI 표절 판정의 기준은 출처 표기의 명확성, (인간) 필자의 글 생성 관여 정도이다. 프로토타입을 기반으로 표절 가능성을 4가지 유형(명백한 표절, 표절 가능성 높음, 표절 가능성 낮음, 표절 아님)으로 구분하고, 각 유형을 ‘느슨한 입장’, ‘중간적 입장’, ‘엄격한 입장’에서 바라볼 경우 AI 활용과 AI 표절을 어떻게 판정할 수 있는지를 이론적으로 탐색하였다. 그 과정에서 도출된 AI 활용 글쓰기 윤리의 추가 쟁점은 출처 표기 방식, 프롬프트 작성 능력과 글쓰기 능력의 관계, AI 활용 글쓰기 상황에 따른 윤리적 기준의 유동성 문제이다.
이상의 논의가 AI 활용 글쓰기 윤리 실천으로 이어지기 위해서는 이론적 논의를 적용한 교육 기관의 적극적인 가이드라인 마련, 법적·제도적 장치 마련뿐 아니라 글쓰기 공동체의 합의도 필요할 것이다. 본고가 이를 위한 토대 마련에 기여할 수 있기를 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study highlighted the lack of guidance on writing ethics and plagiarism prevention amid the growing use of generative AI and associated risks. Focusing on plagiarism, it explored ethical issues in AI-assisted writing and proposed educational responses.
Using design thinking, the study examined plagiarism judgment scenarios and developed a prototype heatmap outlining AI plagiarism criteria and boundaries. Two main standards were proposed: (1) clarity of source attribution, and (2) the human writer’s involvement in text generation. The study classified plagiarism risk into four categories—clear plagiarism, high, low, and not plagiarism—and examined how AI-generated texts are judged from lenient, moderate, and strict perspectives. Additional ethical concerns related to AI writing were also identified.
To effectively implement AI writing ethics, educational institutions must provide explicit guidelines, alongside legal frameworks and consensus within writing communities. This study aimed to lay the groundwork for such efforts.
