한·남미공동시장(MERCOSUR)간의 교역활성화 방안

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1991년 3월 26일에 브라질,아르헨티나,우루과이 및 파라과이는 아순시온조약에 서명을 하면서 남미공동시장이 정식으로 출범하게되었다. 남미공동시장은 중남미지역내에서도 성공적인 지역주의의 모델로 인정받고 있다. 비록 한국이 중남미지역에 진출하였지만 해당지역에 대한 정보가 많이 부족한 편이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 남미공동시장에 대한 분석을 통해 한국과의 경제협력관계를 조명하고 향후 동 지역에 진출하고자 하는 국내기업들에게 올바란 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

On March 26, 1991, the heads of state of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay met in the Paraguayan capital to sign the Treaty of Asuncion, with a view to forming the Common Market of the South. The four Mercosur countries embrace an area larger than the continental United States. Mercosur is arguably the most successful and ambitious example of regional integration in Latin America. Mercosur purports to be a common market but in fact is an incomplete free trade area struggling to turn into a customs union. However, Mercosur has delivered democratic stability, increased trade flows and international visibility to its members. Since beginning of 1960s, Korea has been advanced into Latin America but we are much too late to extend its business in Latin American market due to lack of understanding about there. This study will analyze the current Mercosur market and provide guidelines for Korean companies that aspire to enter this new market.
