體育史 硏究의 方法과 動向 = A Study on the Methodology and Tendency of History of Physical Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to investigate the methodology and tendency of history of P.E in order to make clear the hierachy on the study of history of P.E in Korea.
The study of history of P.E is to investigate that how to had been done the fact of P.E in past and how to related it with thinking of past person and how to related it with political, economical, cultural, educational, artistic, military and geographical conditions. So we can prospect the future of P.E through the study of history of P.E.
The role of P.E historian is to interpret the fact which is the best valuable, original, practical and unificable with proper demonstratable proofs.
In 1986, the number of reported papers in North American Society for Sport History(NASSH) was 848. In my view we, Korean P.E historian, couldn't do geopolitical characteristic study on other country's field. Because we have no time and no man power to study on other conntry's history of P.E.
So, we must do our best to research the facts on our country's history of P.E rather than other country's one in this time. Unfortunately, most of historical materials of P.E in our country are written in Chinese composition. First of all, P.E historian must have power to interpret the historical materials.
