논문 : 해운물류기업의 해외 에너지자원 개발 활용전략 = A Study on Exploiting Energy Resource Trade and Development in Korean Shipping and Logistics Firms

국문 초록 (Abstract)

글로벌 금융위기와 사라진 중국효과로 벌크선사를 중심으로 국내 해운물류기업은 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이러한 시장 환경에서 해외 에너지자원 개발은 국내 해운 물류기업에게 도전인 동시에 기회가 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 국내 해운물류기업의 해외 에너지자원 개발과 관련한 다양한 투자형태, 협력관계, 운송권 확보에 대해 논의 하고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 다양한 이론적, 실증적, 정책적인 대안을 제시하고 있다. 특히 본 연구에서는 자원기반이론 및 제도이론을 바탕으로 단독투자 보다는 합작투자를 대안으로 제시하고 있다. 해외 에너지자원 개발 관련 목표시장의 외적환경과 국내 해운물류기업의 내적환경을 고려해 볼 때 합작투자 및 패키지 딜 투자가 가장 합리적인 투자 형태로 판단될 수 있다.

Korean shipping and logistics firms have a difficult time from the global financial crisis. Moreover, Chinese boom in the global maritime industry is being weakened. Korean shipping and logistics firms must develop alternative strategies to overcome the market difficulties. Resource trade and development can be a challenge as well as opportunity for Korean shipping and logistics firms. This study discusses various strategies for them to use the resource trade and development from theoretical, empirical, and policy perspectives. Based on the resource-based view and the institutional theory, this study analyzes internal and external environments of Korean shipping and logistics firms. According to theoretical and empirical findings, this study suggests that a joint venture and a package deal investment can be reasonable strategies for Korean shipping and logistics firms to use the resource trade and development. As the result, Korean shipping and logistics firms will bw able to sustain competitive advantage and improve performance.
