운동전문가로서 「운동사」의 제도현황과 법적 개념의 정립 = The present state and Legal concept of A Clinical Exercise Professional as An Exercise Specialist

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There are many exercise specialists such as Game Coaches and Athletic Directors in Korea. And they both train the healthy people to do exercise under the National Health Promotion Act and the National Sports Promotion Act of Korea. But They cannot be Clinical Exercise Professional who train patients or preliminary patients who need to recuperate their health because the Korean law does not accept that exercise specialists train them to do exercise for the medical treatment. The medical personnel including doctors obviously recognize that patients need exercise to restore their own health. But doctors do not know exactly which exercise patients have to do and how they have to do to obtain their personal health status. In Korean society, there are many sports professionls have been carrying out various tasks in the medical fitness test, the exercise test, the muscle and joint function test, the exercise prescriptions and the exercise counseling and exercise training. However several legal issues have been raised in reality because the legal basis and the specific provisions for the Exercise Professionals have not been estabilished in Korea. To reduce the excessive financial burden such as social medical costs, many countries have been trying their health policy to convert from therapeutic medical to preventive medical. The Korean Ministry of Health might follow this trends. In this sense, a Clinical Exercise Professional in the area of Health and Medical must be recognized in Korea. Under the current laws of Korea, there are many subjects to review for the introduction of a Clinical Exercise Professional. But in this paper only the concept and the needs of a Clinical Exercise Professional as an Exercise Specialist will be researched, especially focused on the current laws of Korea.
